What a great experience with Dr Bui in what was not exactly one of life’s great experiences. Needed an emergency root canal and filling due to a broken tooth and exposed nerve. Needless to say this is never an ideal circumstance. My own dentist (Dr Andrew Gershon) who I can’t recommend highly enough set me up with Dr Bui on a moment’s notice and his own revommendation. From the friendly office reception (with Dr Bui’s polite young son helping out for the day) and the way I was received to the quality of care administered by Dr Bui and his friendly dental assistant it was a first rate experience all around. His manner of administering the anasthetic was gentle and effective. His approach very no-nonsense but professional. There needed to be a part two to the process due to time constraints caused by my schedule and he was able to accommodate. First rate endodontist and very happy with the thoughtful care I received.

Bui is the BEST! No pain, very considerate and thorough, with the nicest staff. Bui is a master of root canals One appt no need to come back. He’s one of those docs that NYers know is number 1. His prices are very fair and his expertise is genius.

I had the absolute worst experience here. No bedside manner. Explained nothing even after repeated questions. Root canal didn’t take and it hurt for two years. Now I have to get the tooth extracted, I’m convinced it was wasn’t done correctly in the first place. Do not go here.

One of my teeth has a tiny crack in 2019 and a filling kept it together nicely, but recently I had pain and was told it was time for the root canal. This would be my first. My dentist told me, unequivocally, that I should see Dr. Bui and she called his office to arrange an appointment as soon as possible. I have some major surgeries coming up and I need my teeth to be healthy for intubation, to eliminate infection risk, etc. At 9am the next morning I was in his office. Rayza was at the front desk. Such a sweet, professional, incredibly kind and patient woman. Of course I was terrified, and she put me at ease right away. Thank you Rayza! I was shown to the procedure room and met Nichelle and Dr Bui. Nichelle wiped the tears of fear I had running down my cheek before they got started working on me. I had no idea what it would feel like and my gosh I was scared. Quickly I discovered there would be no barbaric pain, no pain at all. In fact, Dr Bui took exceptional care in administering numbing gel, and allowing it time to do it's thing, before numbing the entire area by injection, which didn't hurt at all. Dr. Bui and Nichelle were exceptional when they helped with my root canal a few weeks back. Dr. Bui personally responded to my e-mail over the weekend and slotted me in the following few days. It was a tricky case involving a split canal and two visits, but Dr. Bui and Nichelle expertly and painlessly helped me address the issue. Beyond the excellent care, I also appreciated Dr. Bui's transparency about pricing and billing. After the insurance claim paid out, insurance ended up paying Dr. Bui's office more than was originally estimated and it was very easy to get a reimbursement. The pricing for the service I received was better than all other providers (and I must have contacted 10+). The dental industry is really hard to navigate, and it's non-trivial to find a specialist that is honest, professional and acts in a patient's best interest. I am really lucky to have found Dr. Bui's office and seriously endorse it. I hope I don't have to have a root canal again anytime soon, but if I do, I know where I will be going.
